I’m considering this day #2 of 10 for my detox even though I didn’t start taking the pills in my detox program until last night. Yesterday I only ate fruits and veggies. It is probably the first day since I was a toddler that I didn’t eat any meat. It has definitely been a long time on the processed sugars. I may continue to do a fruit/veggie, no meat day once a week. In Bob Harper’s “The Skinny Rules” he suggests doing this (a no meat day once a week), but I just never got around to it. All in all, this isn’t too bad. The only temptation I had occurred when I went to the grocery store to get more fruit and I saw all the sugary foods. I think I’m more of a sugar person than a meat person. Although a turkey sandwich sounds really good.

I don’t feel any bad symptoms yet. I have a minor headache, but it is more like a dull ache. Yesterday I felt a little lightheaded. I did have a heck of a time falling asleep last night. I’m ready for it though. Bring on the bad symptoms because then I’ll know this is working!!

My plan is for a 10 day detox. Last night I did some more research into foods and I think I’m going to do 3-5 days of fruits and veggies only. Then I will add in one meal a day that includes chicken or fish for the remaining 5-6 days. No red meat.

Definite motivation: my stomach this morning! It may just be in my head, but I feel lighter already.

In looking on FB this morning I saw a post by Weight Watchers that said there are 20 weigh ins until Christmas and they asked where we want to be at that time. I’m thinking more of a New Years goal. Typically people start planning a weight loss goal on New Years. I’m setting mine today. We have 123 days until New  Years.  That is about 18 weeks. My goal then is to lose 25 pounds before New Years. That’s a little over a pound a week. This is doable I think.
